Cultural Renewal | Anthropocene Transition Network

Scientists call these times the Anthropocene. Widespread disruption of the Earth System driven by out-scaled human impacts is threatening to tip the planet’s biosphere into cascading breakdown.

In the realm of human cultures this period is sometimes called the Anthropocene Transition – an in-between time when old orders are crumbling and the new are struggling to be born. These are times of turmoil and existential danger. But they can also be times of cultural, intellectual and spiritual renewal.

The aim of the Anthropocene Transition Network is to help foster such cultural regeneration. This is what we will strive to contribute to Regenerative Songlines Australia.

Over coming months we will be unfolding designs for place-based expressions of the ancient and emerging creativity of this land. We will share our ideas on this website and welcome participation from both First People and settler Australians.
