Biography :
Ruby Michael is an ecological engineer specialising in hydraulic containment of wastes (phytocapping), slope and surface stabilisation (bioengineering) and urban greening (living green infrastructure). I lead an active ecological engineering research group at Griffith University and am founder of Green Infrastructure Research Labs (GIRLS) which seeks to reinstate soil and plants back into built, industrial and denuded environments and create better human relationships with land.
Personal Statement :
Ecological and Indigenous perspectives are essential to being in right relationship with land and other beings, and deeply inform our work.
